FAQ's

Attending your very first boot camp can be a bit of a daunting experience. You do not know what to expect, you are not sure if you can even handle it. Well, no one said toning up and weight loss were going to be easy! Boot camps aren't a walk in the park, they are HARD work! But all you have to do is believe in yourself and you can do anything you set your mind to! When it comes to boot camp, if you want results you have to work hard and eat a good diet too. All of those folks who have made the initial plunge end up absolutely loving it... well most anyway  !

To make it easy, we are including our boot camp policies and our most FAQ here. If you have additional questions please don't hesitate to ask.

If you are attending a boot camp for the FIRST time you will be required to sign a waiver form and answer a couple questionnaires. All campers will receive an email packet welcoming them to boot camp and giving them the 411 on what to expect.

Our boot camp is held at a location in Livermore. We will hold camp outdoors most of the year, but we do go indoors during the winter months (morning boot campers only). Although, for morning boot camp we do workout outdoors some days to change it up.

For every boot camp session we ask that you please bring a set of 3- 10 lbs dumbbells (depending on your fitness level), a mat (yoga mat or thick exercise mat), balance ball (your trainer will inform you when to bring this), gloves, a workout towel and plenty of water. You need athletic cross-training or running shoes with good support and traction and clothing appropriate for the weather. When it gets colder you may want to dress in light layers and bring a hat. If you're not sure which shoe is best for you, go to your nearest Fleet Feet and have them evaluate you.

As a reminder, payment is due before the first day of boot camp. Visit the Boot Camp and which membership level you prefer and the boot camp time you prefer and fill out the registration form. I accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express and Debit Cards. All 6 month and 12 month memberships are charged on a monthly basis for the respective period of time. If you are unable to attend camp and you notify us prior to your first day of camp, we will give you a refund (minus a $25 cancellation fee). If we are notified of your cancellation after your camp begins, we can only give you a credit towards another boot camp. Your credit is transferable. There is no cash refunds. Gift certificates are available if you would like to transfer your credit to someone else or offer it as a gift. If you commit to the 6 month or 12 month membership and you cancel during that time, you will be responsible for payment for the difference of our regular monthly rate of $157 and the discounted rate you paid for the number of months you attended.

A little light rain only makes for a better boot camp experience! We will adjust our workout if it is rainy and wet. However if the weather is extremely horrible, we will cancel and reschedule that day.

Our bodies perform best when our muscles have glycogen available. Morning boot campers, after sleeping (and fasting) all night we suggest you eat something light - a piece of fruit, a small amount of oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, toast with peanut butter. For our evening campers, you should eat a snack before coming to camp as well.  It's also important to eat some carbs and protein after your workout to replenish your body and help repair it. You'll be fatiqued from working so hard, so you need to continue to support your body after your workout.

Our workout sessions are 60 minutes. They consist of a 5 minute warm-up, 5 minute stretch, 45 minute workout with 5 minute cool down.

Give 110%. Believe in yourself. Encourage and support others. BE ON TIME, MAKE THE COMMITMENT AND SHOW UP EVERYDAY!

Expect the unexpected. Our boot camp training is a bit like organized chaos. We'll throw in sprints, plyometrics, strength training, calisthenics, games, partner challenges, team challenges, weight training, individual fitness challenges and more.
We accept people of all fitness and skill levels. Everyone that attends camp is just like you: trying to take their fitness to the next level and change their body to look the way they believe it should look. And after 4 weeks everyone has made some serious progress. All you really need to do is show up and do the best you can.

Yes! We have a NEW 21-Day Fat Loss Program that we give to all our boot campers. It includes a Done-For-You-Starter Guide, 3 Day Detox menu, 21 days of Done For you Meal Plans, free workouts for non boot camp days, food swap ideas, nutritional tips, goal planning and more. I will also provide you regular nutritional guidance and a nutrition journal to log your food. We go over your food journal once a week and create a game plan for the upcoming week. All of these tools  will help you get results even faster! Most people don't eat enough food or the correct food. This can hold you back if you're trying to lose weight. For those who want a specific plan to follow, we recommend contacting a Registered Dietician or Nutritionist.
